They may have missed one thing that the teacher was trying to get across, and from then onwards were not able to keep up with what the class was doing.Many adults are able to regain their Maths skills only when they go back to revisit these very foundations. They gradually build the skills and confidence and overcome the initial challenges that they faced in the early years.
