In Mathematics, as in anything else in life, there is nothing that is as important as having a right and strong foundation.
This is true for children especially in the very early stages of life. Once your children “get” the main principles of basic, foundational Maths, you can rest assured they will not struggle later on in learning and in life. Any decent parent wants the best for their children and having self-confidence is a big part of this. Maths gives children confidence and builds resilience in children – that thing that makes you ‘pick yourself up and try again’.
Upon interviewing a few adults, I realised that they really lost it in the Maths game at the very early stages in their school life. They may have missed one thing that the teacher was trying to get across, and from then onwards were not able to keep up with what the class was doing. Many adults are able to regain their Maths skills only when they go back to revisit these very foundations. They gradually build the skills and confidence and overcome the initial challenges that they faced in the early years.
This does not have to be so for your child, through our EasyMathskills programthey can get their foundation built one step at a time in a fun, creative way and not through rote learning. Maths board games are a big part of our proven method. We use Maths board games and short cuts and illustrations on the big WHY of Maths, in a structured manner so as to raise children’s Maths levels over a term. Our programme is being developed and almost complete.
