Recent research shows that children’s creativity has been declining over the years. Some experts are referring to it as the “creativity crisis”. So, what is the cure to the creativity crisis?
Here are some helpful tips to get you going in the right direction:
Ensure electronic media-related activities are limited.
Involve your children in creative play, giving them the main role; they should be acting and directing the gameplay.
Introduce more problems for children to solve, then teach them ways and strategies to do this.
Stimulate children’s creativity by giving play materials and toys that can be built up, let them create enjoy the results.
Build connections between early childhood educators and parents for stronger support in problem-solving strategies, get involved along with your children in creative activities.
This is not solely the responsibility of the parents, educators, guardians or tutors, each needs to work together to routinely follow the suggestions above.
