The benefits of playing a board game are two-fold for an adult and child, but what are they?
The list is endless…
Playing board games helps families and friends build incredible memories to look back on with great joy and smiles later in life. The longevity of play and repeat play helps players notice patterns, learning through previous experiences, in doing so thinking ahead and planning future moves.
In a world where gaming on a screen is becoming a normality in many households, children are becoming less creative, as many games on a screen can be solitary. Children show better marks in the classroom with more support from adults, older persons or guardians. Adults can adapt a board game to the age and level of learning, encourage creative thinking, teaching about risk-taking and what the consequences of that might be, more time doing, less time disagreeing.
I would love to hear how your family have fun and enjoy a board game. Not one of the benefits mentioned in my blog are more important than the other, however, we all have a number one benefit, what’s yours? Contact us here.
